Emergency Measures | Floods: Current Situation - May 11
We are now in STANDBY mode.

Given current conditions and the weather forecast, the City is downgrading to STANDBY mode, in accordance with the Ville de Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue’s emergency plan.

SUMMARY OF THE SITUATION:

  • The Ville de Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, in collaboration with the Centre de sécurité civile de Montréal, is continuously monitoring the situation.
  • For those who have not yet done so, please sign up for the new emergency alerts system. We remind you that the CodeRed alerts system is no longer in service.

WEATHER:

  • According to Environment Canada’s weather report dated May 11, 2026, light precipitation is expected over the next few days. However, this precipitation is not expected to have a significant impact on water levels in Lac des Deux-Montagnes and Lac Saint-Louis.

LAC DES DEUX-MONTAGNES:

  • The flow of the Ottawa River at the Carillon Dam has been decreasing over the past few days, and this trend is expected to continue over the next few days.
  • The water level of Lac des Deux-Montagnes, at Godin Park, is approximately 50 mm (2 inches) below the minor flood threshold.

LAC SAINT-LOUIS:

  • The water level is falling, currently about 300 mm (12 inches) below the minor flood threshold.

It is important that residents living near Lac des Deux-Montagnes and Lac Saint-Louis remain vigilant and take all necessary precautions.
