Emergency Measures | Floods: Current Situation - May 1
We remain in INTERVENTION mode.

Given current conditions and the weather forecast, the City is maintaining the INTERVENTION mode, activated on April 17, 2026, in accordance with the Ville de Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue’s emergency plan.

It is imperative that all residents near Lac des Deux-Montagnes remain vigilant and, if necessary, take the necessary measures to protect their homes.

SUMMARY OF THE SITUATION:

  • The Ville de Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, in collaboration with the Centre de sécurité civile de Montréal, is continuously monitoring the situation.
  • For those who have not yet done so, please sign up for the new emergency alerts system. We remind you that the CodeRed alerts system is no longer in service.

WEATHER:

  • According to Environment Canada on May 1, 2026, the weather forecast for this weekend is not expected to affect water levels; however, it is important to remain vigilant.

LAC DES DEUX-MONTAGNES:

  • The flow of the Ottawa River at the Carillon Dam is expected to remain stable over the next few days, which should have a positive impact on water levels in Lac des Deux-Montagnes.
  • Water levels in Lac des Deux-Montagnes, at Parc Godin, are stable; however, it is important to remain vigilant. In case of an emergency, please call 9-1-1.

LAC SAINT-LOUIS:

  • Water levels are expected to remain stable over the next few days.

CHEMIN DE L’ANSE-À-L’ORME:

  • Chemin de l’Anse-à-l’Orme has been closed since Sunday, April 19, until further notice, between Chemin de Senneville and Rue Timberlea-Trail. The intersection of Chemin de Senneville and Boulevard Gouin Ouest remains accessible.
