Monday, March 4th

Mwana et le secret de la tortue

Open skating

IMPORTANT: A helmet is compulsory for ages 13 and under.

Puppet Show: Mwana et le secret de la tortue (in French)

Inspired by a folk tale, this story describes the difficulties of a small village held prisoner by a monster-thief. One day, a girl named Mwana proposes to the grand chief of the village to get rid of the giant. How can she compete with such a monster? Does she have a secret or an unknown power?

Clientele: Ages 5 to 9

Wednesday, March 6th

Open swimming

MAD SCIENCE: Science Lab, Slime and Rocket Launch 

Participants become scientists-in-training and learn laboratory techniques. They create a slime recipe and discover its basic ingredients, and its properties will be tested at the Slime Olympics.  They will end their laboratory fun with a rocket launch outside.

Clientele: Ages 6 to 12

Morgan Arboretum

Morgan Arboretum | Free admission

Enjoy a day in the outdoors: walking trails, slides, snow shoes and ski trails. Bring your own equipment.

School Break Special ($)

Stay Safe! Red Cross Program

This course teaches the youth, basic first aid techniques and other skills required to improve their capacity to stay safely on their own at home, or to be out in the community on their own.

Clientele: Ages 9-13 | Bilingual
Location: Centre Harpell
Schedule: Monday, March 4th | 9 am to 3 pm
Registration: Before February 21st, at the Recreation Department or Library (places are limited)
Cost: $35 residents | manual included
