Nighttime closures of the Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge between October 27 and November 4

The ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable informs the public that nighttime closures will be in effect on the Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge, connecting Senneville and Vaudreuil-Dorion along Highway 40 (Félix-Leclerc), from October 27 to November 4. These closures are necessary to replace guardrails on the structure. 

Traffic disruptions and management

October 27 and 28, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day:

• Complete closure of Highway 40 eastbound between Exit 35 (Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac, Vaudreuil-Dorion, St-Charles Ave.) and the entrance from Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants.
  • The ramp leading from Highway 40 eastbound to the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge will be closed at the interchange with Highway 30. Users are advised to use Highways 20 and 30 instead. The toll on Highway 30 will be suspended in the eastbound direction during these obstructions.

October 29 and 30 and November 3, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day:

• Complete closure of Highway 40 westbound between Exit 44 (Morgan Blvd.) and the entrance from Saint-Charles Ave.
  • Access to Chemin de Senneville will be maintained via Exit 44 for users who need to travel to this area.
  • During these closures, tolls on Highway 30 will be suspended in the westbound direction to provide an additional alternative.

Detour routes will be marked with temporary signage. Work may be postponed due to adverse weather conditions or operational constraints. It is recommended that you consult Québec 511 before traveling.
