    Special weather bulletin in effect for the Island of Montreal - July 17

    Conditions are favorable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that could produce strong gusts, large hail and torrential rain today.

    In accordance with the City’s Extreme Weather Emergency Plan, we inform you that we will go into standby mode on July 17.
    • Nautical activities could prove dangerous due to sudden violent gusts on bodies of water.
    • Heavy rain may cause flash floods.
    • Strong gusts can damage trees or buildings and overturn vehicles.
    Our team will monitor the situation closely to ensure we are fully prepared for any changes.
    In the event of a change, we’ll provide you with further updates promptly, and advise you of any precautions to take. Please remain vigilant and observe all safety instructions.
