Special weather bulletin in effect for the Island of Montreal

In accordance with the City’s Extreme Weather Emergency Plan, we would like to inform you that we will go into watch mode on Sunday, July 6, from this afternoon to this evening. 

The main threats:

• Strong gusts up to 100 kilometers per hour;
• Very heavy rain;
• Hail up to 1 centimeter in diameter.
  
  

Boating activities could prove dangerous due to sudden, violent gusts over bodies of water.

Power outages are possible in places.

Heavy rain can cause flash floods and greatly reduce visibility.
Our team will monitor the situation closely to ensure we are fully prepared for any changes.
In the event of any changes, we will promptly provide further updates and advise you of precautions to take.
