Food Drive

On Sunday December 2nd, starting at 12 pm, personnel from municipal services and volunteers will once again browse the streets of the municipality to give assistance to those in need in our community.

You want to support them ? You want to contribute ? When you hear the horns honking, just step out the door to hand over your donations : non-perishable food items, hygiene products, or cash or cheque made to the order of Comptoir alimentaire.

Please note—they do not knock at your door ! If you will not be home, you can leave your boxes and bags on your front porch. Make sure to label them "Guignolée".

The Morgan Arboretum is a 245 hectare forested reserve, situated on the McGill University Macdonald Campus in Ste. Anne de Bellevue on the western tip of the island of Montreal. The Arboretum is open daily throughout the year from 9 am to visitors who can walk and ski its trails in season. The public contributes to the development and maintenance of the Arboretum through the Morgan Arboretum Association, a non-profit organization.

In addition to an expanse of natural woodland containing examples of most of Quebec's native trees, the property supports 18 collections of trees and shrubs, from across the world, that include fir, oak, birch, maple, linden, spruce and flowering trees. The Arboretum is also home to 30 species of mammals, 20 species of reptiles and amphibians, and over 170 species of migratory and overwintering birds.

Pure Arts Meet Up

Deadline for registration:  You must register for each meeting date in advance up to one week prior.  Priority given to residents of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue.

This is a pilot project: 

A casual get together for artists to gather and create in the company of fellow artists. The chalet will be available on the first Wednesday of every month (approximate) for local artists to meet and create in a common creative space. Enjoy a social atmosphere and sharing ideas with fellow artists, while working on your own projects.  The “Meet up” is geared towards artists that practice “Pure Arts” such as painting, sculpture, sketching, etc. Participants must be able to bring all of their own material to and from the activity.

Clientele: Adults, 16 +

Schedule: 1st Wednesday of every month (approximately), from 7 pm to 10 pm

Roadblock Fundraising

Over the weekend of November 18th and 19th volunteers will come together on the Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants, in front of Valacta, to collect your voluntary donations which will be handed over to the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue parish Food Bank to support them through 2019.

Rob Baker | Conference | Wildlife at the l'Anse-à-l'Orme

The presentation will feature the animals of the L’Anse-à-l’Orme area, which Rob Baker has been tracking in for over 15 years. He will present photos of the tracks and signs left behind as the animal moves across the landscape. White tailed deer, coyotes, deer mice, red fox, meadow voles, and mink, otter, and fishers are some of mammals inhabiting the L’Anse-à-l’Orme area.
