Notice of Construction on the North Service Road of the A-40 and Traffic Disruptions Hydro-Québec, in collaboration with its contractor GTEK, will soon begin work on the service road on both sides of the entrance located on Rue Frédéric-Back. Work will begin on July 9, 2026, and is expected to last approximately 35 workdays. During this period, one traffic lane will remain open, and access to Rue Frédéric-Back will be maintained. However, please note that access will be completely closed only during the phase of work involving the crossing of Rue Frédéric-Back. Traffic signs and flaggers will be present at the construction site to ensure the safety of workers and the public and to direct traffic. For everyone’s safety, please respect the signs in place. Water Rates for 2024, 2025, and 2026

Regulation 855-1 sets forth the rates for 2024.

Regulation 870 sets forth the rates for 2025.

Regulation 879 sets forth the rates for 2026.

Water compensation amount - Residential unit

A prime rate of $47 is imposed for each residential unit or dwelling having access to water.

In addition to the prime rate, water consumption for each residential unit or dwelling is established as follows:

0.75 per cubic metre for the first 100 cubic metres, plus;
0.85 per cubic metre for the excess of 100 cubic metres up to a maximum of 200 cubic metres, plus;
1.00 per cubic metre for the excess of 200 cubic metres up to 300 cubic metres, plus;
1.20 per cubic metre for the excess over 300 cubic metres.

For any residential unit or dwelling where it is impossible to obtain a reading, for whatever reason, a quantity of 300 cubic metres at the above rates will be charged in addition to the basic rate.

Amount of water compensation - Commercial, institutional or industrial unit.

A prime rate of $76 is charged for each commercial, institutional or industrial unit with access to water.

In addition to the basic rate, water consumption for each commercial, institutional or industrial unit served is established as follows:

0.75 per cubic metre for the first 100 cubic metres, plus;
0.85 per cubic metre for the excess of 100 cubic metres up to 200 cubic metres, plus;
1.00 per cubic metre for the excess of 200 cubic metres up to 300 cubic metres, plus;
1.20 per cubic metre for the excess over 300 cubic metres.

For any commercial, institutional or industrial unit where it is impossible to obtain a reading, for whatever reason, a quantity of 10,000 cubic metres at the above rates will be imposed in addition to the basic rate.
