Arboretum | Survival: Useful Plants

Plants are your friends, but they can only help you if you get to know them first! In this activity, join Sarah Dixon to learn about the kinds of trees and forest plants that provide everything from rope to emergency medicine.

Défi Boréal - Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue

Road running race by Boreal Runners Club consisting of 5km, 10km, half-marathon and a 1km kids race! The race courses are scenic, with devoted and enthusiastic volunteers, post-race snacks and medals for the half-marathon finishers. Come join to participate and be active!

Location: John Abbott College Campus
Schedule: Saturday June 8th | 8 am – 11:30 am, details on website 
Cost: Between $10 and $45 depending on the race chosen.

RASC | The Summer Night Sky

The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) Montreal Centre is holding a Star Party featuring a one-hour talk by David Shuman. If the sky is clear, the conference will be followed by outdoor observation: join enthusiastic stargazers for some spectacular views of the night sky, through the 14" telescope in the Bellevue Observatory and the other telescopes made available to you by RASC members.

Stroll for Liver

June 22, 7 pm - 10 pm

Join us for Montreal’s second annual Promenade Nocturne pour le foie on June 22nd, a night-time fundraising walk dedicated to raising funds for lifesaving liver research and awareness of the silence of liver disease. A night time stroll and lantern paradealong the boardwalk of Ste Anne de Bellevue.

Features: Lantern Parade, glow in the dark t-shirts, & commemorative moments for people suffering from liver disease

Also: Lantern-making workshops every Saturday at CLF office from May 11-June 15, 12pm – 4pm

After dropping mistletoe picking, the druid Panoramix hurts himself and concludes that it is time to find a replacement to whom he can teach the famous recipe for the magic potion. With Asterix and Obelix, Panoramix travels through Gaul in search of a replacement. Meanwhile, the evil druid Sulfurix tries to take advantage of this quest by corrupting the candidate for Panoramix's succession.

With the help of her mum, June, a girl with an overflowing imagination, created the model of a magical amusement park. The operators of the place are talking animals and the rides are more amazing than in our wildest dreams. One day, June finds herself, as if by magic, in the park she created with her mother. But, not everything is so cheerful at Wonder Park. It may be completely destroyed soon if June cannot find a way to save it. She will have to use her immense creativity to bring back the magic that once reigned there.
