In 2010, Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue received $10,000 from TD Friends of the Environment Foundation and Tree Canada to plant fruit trees along the bike path. To date, over 100 varieties of fruit-bearing trees, vines and bushes have been planted along the bike path by the municipality and with help from volunteers!
With this project, Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue hopes to increase awareness about the importance of local food production and biodiversity.
