MOTHER'S DAY WALK
Saturday May 12th at the Morgan Arboretum
On May 12th, there will be a 5km Mother's Day Walk at the Morgan Arboretum located on the John Abbott Campus. This walk is to save mothers in Africa because every minute a mother dies from child birth. The walk will be held from 9am to 12pm and it is a great way to spend Mother's Day. WE NEED YOUR HELP! We are looking for Participants, Volunteers and Cancer Survivors for the West Island Relay for Life to be held on June 15 at the George Springate Sports Centre, (13800 Pierrefonds Blvd.), behind Pierrefonds Comprehensive High School.
The Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay for Life is more than just a fundraiser. It is a non-competitive, fun-filled event that brings family, friends, and colleagues together to CELEBRATE cancer survivors, REMEMBER loved ones lost to cancer, and FIGHT BACK in the hope of finding a cure for this terrible disease.

Bread Basket Lac-St-Louis runs community kitchens at the locations listed below. A qualified animator will lead participants in creating up to three nutricional and budget-conscious meals. We plan for an additional portion of each meal to take home so please bring containers with you.
Spaces is limited, so please register in advance by calling the Bread Basket at West Island Citizens Advocacy at 514-694-5850. There is a $2 participation fee.
